So Far So Good

Brooks says this reminds him of me in the kitchen (I'm thinking it's more the hair than the attitude...)

Love the red bedroom. Totally agree with the thumbs down on the bike in hibernation. I miss mine mightily.

It's definitely the jerk spice with dreads that reminds Brooks of his lovely wife. BTW, one of my family's favorite dinners is jerk chicken with rice. Just put some chicken breasts in a baggie and add olive oil, soy sauce, worchestershire sauce, and jerk spice (just "feel" the quantities). Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes then grill or bake for 30 minutes. Serve with calrose rice and some kind of veggie. YUM.

As for your lists: I need to hear the story behind the dreadlocks and velcro. You had to touch someone with ringworm, REPEATEDLY? Eww. Did you call me a bosom friend because you massaged my pectoral muscles? That bedroom is lookin' good! A nap that lasts for less than 3 hours is really just a tease.

ok, the bedroom is the most gorgeous room i have ever seen. i am in total love and want to copy you, somehow i don't think the hotel would appreciate the construction.

Yummy - thanks for the recipe! Velcro on my coat always catches on my dreads:( Touched the ringworm once because I didn't see it at first then avoided it like the plague, disinfected myself after, etc. Nasty! No, no - the nap is at 3:00 pm. A three hour nap is what we call a good night's sleep, right? :)

Kate and Sarah - glad you love the red! We should post the photo next to the before picture - anything would be an improvement no matter what color it was!

How did you do those fancy-schmancy flower bullets?

Ha! It's funny you should ask because when I was composing the post it showed the usual black dots. I think the flowers are a function of the template I use?

Love the picture. And Love the boys' room! We need to get over there and see it. Chris keeps bringing it up... I think he just wants to play with the crazy boys.

Love the red bedroom! And, I have to say that growing up I had the BIGGEST crush on Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch. Him and Mark Eubank and Bruce Lindsay (when he was on PM Magazine Utah) ... LOL!
