A calm breeze drifting through me.
Where ...Silence.
A calm breeze drifting through me.
Where is this fair wind
Blowing from the ocean of peace?

Solitude.
Alone, with no one expecting,
I look into myself
To remember who I am.

Reflection.
My face ripples in the pond,
Blown by winds of self-doubt.
I breathe deeply to still the quivering.

Renewal.
Again comes the fair wind
And I turn to embrace it,
Empowered by God to aspire once more.

This is a poem I wrote in 2009 and your post reminded me of it. There is such power in purposeful solitude.

Call me about your gardening idea. I did rows with PVC pipe over 1/2" rebar covered with 4mm plastic this year. The only thing I wish I'd done differently was plant a month earlier.

Miss you! When can I come for a 3 hour massage and counseling session again? :)Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11587050097177200147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289472917216156585.post-5139222348982772242011-08-08T10:02:44.380-07:002011-08-08T10:02:44.380-07:00getting away sounds delicious. the grandeur and s...getting away sounds delicious. the grandeur and simplicity of nature somehow helps to put everything in perspective. i hope you had a wonderful time. and a wonderful reunion with your boys back home.Courthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08223525909916567273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289472917216156585.post-23051645713369493182011-08-04T22:36:46.747-07:002011-08-04T22:36:46.747-07:00I love this post and your meditation post. Your explanation on how it changes your relationship with your son... very interesting! Maybe I'll set aside some time this week to "practice" this myself. xoxo

-- Sarah Medley SmylieSariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14577969615173887096noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289472917216156585.post-72170285474655706442011-07-29T13:20:22.627-07:002011-07-29T13:20:22.627-07:00Now that's a vacation.Now that's a vacation.jaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269021313918738810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-289472917216156585.post-43855732713552283112011-07-28T20:47:52.011-07:002011-07-28T20:47:52.011-07:00Love this.
